“The New Normal for Accreditation: Values, Practice and Policy”

CHEA (Council for Higher Education Accreditation) held its Annual Conference, last month, under the theme “The New Normal for Accreditation: Values, Practice and Policy”. A national advocate and institutional voice for promoting academic quality through accreditation, CHEA is an association of 3,000 degree-granting colleges and universities and recognizes 60 institutional and programmatic accrediting organizations. CHEA (Council for Higher Education Accreditation) held its Annual Conference, last month, under the theme “The New Normal for Accreditation: Values, Practice and Policy”. A national advocate and institutional voice for promoting academic quality through accreditation, CHEA is an association of 3,000 degree-granting colleges and universities and recognizes 60 institutional and programmatic accrediting organizations. The senior officers also attended the International Quality Group Annual Meeting, A Global Quality Forum under the theme “Politics and Government: Globalization, Internationalization and Quality Assurance”.

The National Accreditation and Equivalency Council (NAECOB) is a statutory body established under the National Accreditation and Equivalency Council ACT of The Bahamas on 4th October 2006; assented on the 29th of December, 2006 and came into force on the 28th of February, 2007.
 NAECOB is responsible for registering and accrediting primary schools, secondary schools, post-secondary schools and any institution or provider that offers training in The Bahamas.
